While it’s nice outside, why not walk off those pounds by getting into the habit of taking a stroll once a day? Fitsugar has offered these tips on how to walk properly — it’s something you learned early in life but might need a refresher on if you’re going to be doing i t more often. Here’s what they recommend:
- Look straight ahead, not at the ground
- Maintain good posture
- Allow your hips to swivel naturally
- Tighten your abs
- Keep wrists straight
- Walk in a straight line
- Wear proper walking shoes
- Challenge yourself by walking fast
